First and Second week Journal 2/02-2/11

This report is about the first and second week of the semester where we discussed ourselves. Gives introduction of what we like to do and why we took this class. Also our hobbies of what we like to do during our free time and is there any books we read. We also read Chapter 1 in Technical Communication 11th Edition where we learn the ability to perform research and how write a good article. We also post an article of our choice that we liked and tell more about it, Because on 2/11 we started discussing our first assignment Analysis of an article and read the chapter through page 9 “Skills and Qualities Shared by Successful Workplace Communicators”.

Third Week Journal 2/16-2/18

This third week we read Chapter “Principles of Ethical Communication” also started thinking about our first big assignment Technical Description. As a broad minded person I tried to see a lot of possibilities and look about the future. By getting information from Chapter 20, thinking about Communication I chose Security Robots. Because they are someone who communicates with us and also helps in a lot of ways.

Fourth week journal 2/23- 2/25

This week we begin writing our big assignment Technical Description. Also in the class of February 23 we started Brainstorming our ideas and in the free writing I asked some questions about robots and get my peers opinions and also discussed what parts I need to include in my assignment. In this free writing I discussed about my robots of how it works and what is specialty is.

Fifth week journal 3/02-3/04

This fifth week we revised our first draft through peer reviewing and what he/she think I need to improve. Also every member of our class shared their first draft and some other person in class review it. To be honest, I thought I really did bad on it, but my peers said something different and I only need to improve some parts on it. Also, some us in class wrote a fictional scenario this week of what talked about in technical description. If it is created in the future what it will be and how it will change the society.

Sixth week journal 3/09- 3/11

This week we started writing our second assignment, Memo and also read the chapter “Writing Memos”. Before writing it I had very little knowledge about this of how it is written who are writing this to. We had to work as a group and each person has different roles, but we also see each others work. My group discussed about the issues of MTA of how it can be fixed and upgraded. It was quite different from my other assignment and I learned other people’s thoughts of what they think about my ideas and things work as a whole.

Seventh Week journal 3/16- 3/18

This seventh week we each had our roles and job to do. I am a submission Manager, I check each parts of the projects that my teammates and talk about what needs to be fixed and also change some of the settings. We also gave our progress update to the professor of how we further we have done and I was really impressed with my group. They did most of the parts right and if they need anything they asked me and I support them on it.

Eighth Week journal 3/23- 3/25

This week we started working on our final draft and reviewing everything with the checklist that the professor has given. We discussed a lot of things through discord and fixed things as we go. Honestly my teammates were quick to respond and they also fixed things as we talk. The sources my teammates have given is also explain everything in detail. We finished the whole project before one day deadline and submitted on time. It was also my job to check everything, discuss with the group and submitted it on time and we did it.

Tenth and Eleventh week journal 4/08- 4/15

This week was different from the last we started working on our new assignment Lab Report. One thing I want to say about this is read the the rubric and assignment description carefully and do what they asked. For this topic I chose distance learning and evolution of new technology that has been used in present time. From this I gave people a scenario of what some fell in online and in person work. The difference between them and how there are both right in their way and have no wrong answers just different view. I create an outline where their is brief of where things are working in their own way and have some sources.

Twelvish and Thirteenth week journal 4/20- 4/29

This two weeks we started reviewing our Lab Report as a peer review and know more abut what we need to improve and need to change. By getting other people’s opinions I change some parts of Lab Report and submitted in time. After that we started discussing our final assignment which is Engineering Proposal and we need to do as a Engineer. By going through all of my projects the most important thing I feel can be upgraded as a proposal is Security robots and the robots as a whole in the world.

Fourteenth and Fifteenth week journal 5/04- 5/11

This two weeks I was doing my final assignment and also being ready for other classes finals. After finishing my Engineering Proposal our class did a peer review again and gave comments on each others work. The advice my peers gave me helped me a lot and through understanding I finished the project in time and submitted in time. The big thing I want to say about this assignment is it helped get a clear vision and see other sides of the work. Because not everything is perfect and there is always a room for improvement and through that I will make myself a better person and see different types of possibilities.
